Thanks for your comments, glad you like our stuff and you have got something out of it. We both (Gordon and I) wanted to do something that presented both of our experiences with cancer and its treatment. Our aim was to do something that was funny, truthful and surreal but definitely not worthy or self-pitying. We have some more strips to post online soon.

I hope your treatment goes well. I can understand the whole effect chemo has, I went through it myself.

this is bloody great!!!!
Am going through it at the mo, rectal……..a rite pain in the arse!!!
am on with my 2nd lot of chemo andradio, 1st lot didn’t work enough, it’s advanced and in the lymph nodes as well, and I’m only 48.
Reading this has cheered me up tho, if you can’t have fun on the subject every now and again you would lose the plot big style.

Hi Gordon,

Really glad that you have been treated in time and can now join the ‘spreading of the word’!

I had it 20 years ago when I was in my early 30s, but sadly it came back last year and I contracted septicaemia after the op to remove the other half of my bowel, spent 34 days on life support and ended up with an ileostomy

Even MORE reason for me to be evangelistic!! Complacency had set it in with my GP who insisted that, (and these quote marks are real), “People like you are always worrying that your cancer will come back. But it won’t.”

Well, it can – even many years after an all clear – we HAVE to be vigilant and informed.

Good luck with your campaign, and I’m looking forward to seeing your transformation into Father Christmas
